What does "Samakti" mean?

"Samakti" comes from the Sanskrut word "Samyakatva" meaning - a stage when one attains Supreme Knowledge.

Aims and Objectives

 To protect, preserve and promote knowledge of Hindu Sanatan Dharma (religion), peace, harmony and understanding amongst the Hindu community particularly the Hindu youth and future generations.

To promote unity, peace and harmony amongst all Hindu social, cultural and charitable organisations, societies, communities and individuals

• To inculcate the purest principles of ancient Hindu Scriptures, inter alia the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagvatum, the Bhagvad Gita and the Puranas

• To Promote Unity, social and community cohesion, understanding amongst peoples of diverse racial and religious backgrounds both in the United Kingdom and the rest of the world.

• To promote knowledge and understanding of ancient Hindu philosophy to the young and future generations by applying traditional principles , cultural values and religious beliefs in modern life style thus retaining Hindu identity and self respect.

 • To research, produce and publish text and reference books, magazines, newspapers, audio and Video Cassettes, CDs, DVDs, TV and Radio programmes and develop communication channels to transmit information pertaining to the Sanatan dharma and related subjects.

• To promote, support and implement the following ancillary aims and objectives:

  a) Alleviate poverty and financial hardship among the less fortunate, especially the old, infirm and children.

b) Facilitate access to education and vocational training to enhance occupational skills among the needy.

c) Facilitate access to medical care; promote health and hygiene for the relief of the sick and the disabled.

d) Promotion of moral and spiritual values for the betterment of all mankind.

e) Promotion of good race relations, civic responsibilities, elimination of discrimination and equality of opportunity.

f) Promotion of high ethical standards of conduct and compliance with the law in public and private sectors.

g) To undertake any other charitable act as may be identified by the Trustees from time to time and raise funds to achieve all the objectives.
